Job Purpose

Responsible for leading procurement activities to ensure cost-effective and timely acquisition of goods and services. He/she will be managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and providing strategic procurement support. He/she works closely with internal departments to align procurement strategies with business needs and optimize procurement processes.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies in alignment with business objectives to ensure cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Analyze market trends and conditions to identify potential suppliers and ensure that the organization receives the best value for the best cost.
  • Manage relationships with key vendors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and maintaining a high standard of service.
  • Conduct supplier performance evaluations, addressing any issues related to quality, delivery, or service.
  • Lead negotiations with vendors and suppliers to secure favorable terms, including pricing, delivery timelines, and payment terms.
  • Draft, review, and manage procurement contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational requirements.
  • Oversee the procurement process, from requisition to purchase order issuance, ensuring all procedures adhere to company policies and industry standards.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance procurement efficiency.
  • Analyze cost-saving opportunities and contribute to reducing procurement-related expenses.
  • Ensure that procurement activities comply with internal policies, legal regulations, and industry standards.
  • Identify potential procurement risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports and dashboards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the direct manager.

Job Specification/ Requirements

Knowledge & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in procurement, focusing on vendor management and contract negotiation.
  • Professional certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS or CPP) is preferred.

 

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or any related field.
